I went with this wonderful sketch ~

I have a TON of oldies~I pulled out this postage spellbinder die and married it with brand new cacti stamps.

Fruity For You Skinny Card

I made a tall and skinny card for my hubby~just because.

It will surely fit in his lunch cooler~

(stamp: The Craft's Meow Fruity For You   dies:Memory Box Sour Citrus)

Simon Says Stamp (Wed): Anything Goes

I was inspired by the summery patterned paper and built up from there~

Have a good one friends~

Neon Succulents

I am now a proud owner of succulent stamps!!!

I have been mulling over sets for way too long and finally invested in some.

(stamps: Newton's Nook Cultivated Cacti,My Favorite Things Llama Love  dies:Newton's Nook Cultivated Cacti,My Favorite Things Llama Love/Cross Stitched Ovals,Spellbinders Scalloped Circles (partial cutting),Avery Elle Wonky Stitches/Dotted Elle-ments,Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Hexagons)

I am not big on coloring, so I loved mixing the solid stamps with open stamps and playing with neon paper.

Prepare to see me play with these sets as much as I can~

A Faceted Border of Blues & Greens

Blues and greens are my jam~

they calm me.

(stamps: Winnie & Walter True/ In Bloom Eva's Favorite Flowers   dies:Winnie & Walter True Multifaceted Border Cutaways,My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circles)

I HAD TO HAVE this border die but haven't used it enough.

By adding glue before flipping the die over,  I was able to line up the faceted pieces.

I used a paper piercer to push through the triangles I wanted to use.

Here's the inside with a sentiment sticker that I had out~

Check out the following coloring challenge:

I was immediately struck by the delicious citrus circles and went from there~

 I. AM. SO. HAPPY. IT'S. FRIDAY. ;)

sTiCkEr SeNtiMeNt

I used a sentiment sticker on this card~

(stamp:Essentials by Ellen Homespun Holiday      dies:Essentials by Ellen Home & Hearth,Avery Elle Pierced Rectangle Dies,My Favorite Things Inside & Out Stitched Stars  other:sticker sentiment)

The die cuts are arranged floaty and free, like a dream~

Gray & Black

Gray, (grey???)

 is my favorite~

(stamps: Hero Arts Operation Write Home,Winnie & Walter In Bloom Eva's Favorite Flowers/True   dies:Avery Elle Pierced Rectangle Dies/Wonky Stitches)

I went with this collab challenge~

http://www.ablognamedhero.com/2017/07/challengefloralswwpartone/

 and this challenge~

Just a little tip~I find it easier to stamp and then cut, especially with the stitched dies.

If cut first, those gorgeous images miss the valleys of the stitches and sit on the mountain views.

Thanks for stopping in on your precious Friday!

Watermelon Puffy Sticker

Even though I've been cranking out Christmas cards,

I haven't given up on summer!

Here's proof~

(stamp: Simon Says Stamp Wild Beauty sentiment  dies:WPlus9 Written On Ribbon,Papertrey Ink Celebrate Big customer appreciation set banner)

Lovin' this inspiration photo challenge~

http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2017/07/just-us-girls-403-photo-week.html

I'm using these colors~

http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2017/07/color-throwdown-453.html

This puffy watermelon sticker creates a sparkly surprise focal point for the following Work It Wednesday.

Honestly, I'm relishing the warmer weather.

Plus, the bright colors in blogland make me happy!

Let's hold out for summer as long as we can~

It's Who's Around It

Love this precious sentiment~

(stamps: Essentials by Ellen Homespun Holiday  die: Avery Elle Wonky Stitches)

I was inspired by the following challenge to go with candy land stripes and dots for a Christmas card.

If inspiration hits, especially for a Christmas card, I'm pretty pleased with myself.

I think it's worth setting aside vacuuming for one more day~

 I'm just sayin'. :)

Praying your day is peaceful~

Stay Fresh

I invested in this pineapple image recently~

(stamps: Avery Elle Stay Fresh, Sweet n' Sassy Stamps Grunge Elements   dies: Papertrey Ink Tag Sale #5,Avery Elle Stay Fresh)

I added gold paper to shadow both image and tag for that little bit of "extra" goin' on!

Work It Wednesday July 2017: Add Sparkle!
 (gold paper and shiny sequins)

It's the middle of the week friends~are you surviving ok?

Hang in there~

Beauty Is Not in the Face

I'm really digging the black and white focal points (like florals) that's popular now.

I'm also all about the stripes!

At least 80% of the tops I wear now are striped.

Let's just say I'm invested, rather than obsessive.

It just sounds better.

😆

(stamps: Verve Kindness Matters,Unity Kit of the Month 11/15  die: My Favorite Things Wonky Windows,Verve Great Kindness  other:Papertrey Ink Winter Woods Paper Collection)

The following challenge had me grab for this Unity sentiment~

'If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely'

I went with the following sketch~

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

I'm thrilled I get to participate in the hop at Papertrey Ink today.

(Papertrey Ink What the Doodle Snowflakes/A Thrill of Hope/Winter Woods Paper)

Here's the challenge~

I went with muted tones and soft colors of Aqua Mist,Lavender Moon and Sweet Blush.

By the way, the song "Lavender Blue" was interpreted by the younger class of my girls' dance studio last month and it's looping in my head now!!!  :0

Such a sweet dilly dilly....

Blessed Color Blocking

I love color blocking and angled sections~

(stamps: Papertrey Ink Palm Prints  die:Papertrey Ink Counting My Blessings)

There are at least three ways to achieve blocking, which are demonstrated at

hosted by  Laurie

My solid remnants were used in this card~love when I can incorporate the slivers!

I used the photo in the following challenge to guide my color scheme.

Gold accents are IN IN IN and I LOVE IT.

I think it adds sophistication to any item.

Creating this card was a great start to my week~hope to get more crafty time in!

Thanks for stopping in friends~

Modern Tree

I've had this tree panel sitting on my desk for quite some time.

It needed to be seen on a card!

(stamps: Papertrey Ink Mighty Oak, Verve Great Friend,Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy  dies: Verve Great Kindness, My Favorite Things Sentiment Strips,Avery Elle Double Pierced Rectangles)

The following bold colors compliment the black and white graphic leaves~

http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2017/07/color-throwdown-452.html

Look closely for the sliver of green (it's a modern grass line).

I usually struggle with primary colors, but with this project, I enjoyed it!

 Thanks for stopping by today~

Smile, Family, & Joy

We got back about a week ago from visiting my family in Hawaii.

I've missed them so much!!!!

Mom and Dad look great and so do my sisters and their families. ;()

There were lots of smiles~so grateful the Lord let us travel to see them.

(stamps: Verve Great Friend  dies: Verve Great Kindness, My Favorite Things Lucky Stars, Avery Elle Wonky Stitches)

Mom and Dad went over and beyond in hosting us...so I was inspired by the latest challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

I've wanted to mix up my stars and florals for some time now, and this challenge pushed me to try it!

I've got two great sets of stars from My Favorite Things (featured product) so I hope to get at least one more done in time for this challenge~

Thanks for stopping by~

FOCUS

I don't know about you...but focusing is a struggle!

I multi-task wayyyy too often and unnecessarily.

(stamp: My Favorite Things Bokeh Builder  die: My Favorite Things Tree-mendous)

The Lord leads me to prioritize.

If not...I'm gonna lose it, people.

 ðŸ˜†

One day at a time...

This day, I chose this challenge...
