A Pajama Party

I'm playing at Waltzingmouse's Pajama Party today~woot woot!!

I'm glad this is one of those pajama parties where you don't have to actually wear pajamas, LOL.

I have none pretty enough for such an occasion. ;)

I played with a couple of Waltzingmouse sets: My Island and Teeny Trees (my go-to element set) to create this one layer card.

Challenge 3:In the Background

There are still a few hours left for three of the challenges and more time for a sketch challenge if you want to play along this week.

~Have a great day friends~

Splotches of Color

It's fun to splotch in an outline image.

I took the colorful inspiration from Moxie Fab's

Tuesday Trigger:A Painterly Palette

and the bold presentation of

CASE Study Challenge #151
Jocelyn Olson

to create this card.

The hardest thing was keeping the white parts white...my fingers seem to  leave prints everywhere!

oh, but it's a BLESSING to have the time and inspiration to stamp~hope you got some creative time in for yourselves!

Christmas in July

Woah...ANOTHER card...

and a CHRISTMAS card at that.

The first one is always the hardest for me.

However, when there's a splash challenge at the Cafe~you can count me IN!

I used a Post It note for that splash of neon.

I thank the challenge at

Christmas in July With a Catch (semi-flat).

It motivated me to get one done.

Polka Dots on a Sympathy Card

Polka dots on a sympathy card?

Really?

No, I'm not trying to make a painful, sudden death light...

but rather...honor the sweet, sweet spirit of one who was taken while she still had so much LIFE left, you know?

This wasn't the route I originally planned for

however, it IS a card I had been putting off making.

To Mrs. Coast...

a beautiful, beautiful ray of light who is home.

tYpEwRiTeR tHoUgHtS

I created this card for a friend that's been on my heart.

The inspiration hit and I ran with it.

The striped patterns married in this challenge ...

made me think of the Fancy Pants ParkBench designer paper.

It's a ready-made, pieced together look which I trimmed to fit in the typewriter die.

This represents how thoughts of her needing prayer has interjected my daily activities.

Thanks for stopping in friends!

You Are Incredible

I created this card for one of my incredible daughters~

I was inspired by the following challenges:

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #227 Going in Circles

The Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

What I love about the Mixy Matchy trend, is the "one of a kind" design you get from paper scraps.

It's a paper quilt which is as  unique as the recipient!

~Have a blessed day friends~

SPONGED WAVES

I did some sponging today with my distress inks.

Case Study Challenge #147
The sponged triangles on Lisa Spangler's card inspired me to sponge over a die cut.

Timeless Tuesday #226 Make a Splash

The wave border on Broni's card reminded me of the wave designs I have on my Cameo.

I recently downloaded this surfer and

paired the image with Flourishes Enjoy the Ride sentiment.

I don't sponge as often as I should...it's really relaxing to just "DO" you know?

Get a little messy and give it a try~

A CASE and a Cutie Card

I have two cards to share today.  One is a CASE...

Here is her card I CASED...

If you are familiar with Silke's creations...she uses white in the most elegant way.

I wrapped a ribbon around a panel like she did.

Instead of three shiny dots, I stamped three flowers.

The second card is for my niece.

I don't often do cutie pie cards....

but I DO love this cutie pie hedgie!!!
